If I could go back to any era it would be the 20s. I so love the gamine clothing, bob haircuts, cloche hats and general joie de vivre that seemed to color that period. The illustration below (a reworked version from this post) was done with my vintage Carter’s fountain pen and Copic Sketch markers…

I posted an illustration-in-progress on Monday and am happy to announce that the thank you card version is now available in my shop at Etsy.
Elegant and stylish…plus your handwritten message inside.
What could be better than that?
Josephine hasn’t been feeling exactly chipper of late…in fact, melancholy might be a better description of her mood. But even Josephine knows that moods come and go. And so she’s embracing this one and learning to dance with it, too.
(The greeting card version is now available in my shop at Etsy.)
As I mentioned earlier this week, I’ve been working on creating a Get Well card. I put the finishing touches on the illustration last night, then created the card mock-up.
Here’s what the card looks like:
And here’s a photo of the front…
(And the inside.)
Now if only I could mail myself with the card…
(But I suppose packing in all of my love and good thoughts is a start.)
Available as either a folding 5×7 card or a horizontal note card…
(Because everyone appreciates a thank you!)
I put the finishing touches on my latest illustration tonight. The markers flowed, but now I’m stumped with whether or not to add a greeting inside the card.
I’m looking for something cheery and encouraging… a “Thinking of You” type message for the woman who handles adversity with grace. Although I’ve created a list of about 44 phrases so far, I’m not blown away (pun intended) with any of what I’ve come up with so far. If any of you readers have constructive ideas to offer, I’d love to hear them!
P.s. For now, I’ve decided to offer the card blank inside. You can purchase it here!
