A Design a Day – Day 162

I did a series of designs for Rudnick Jewelers in Sheboygan, WI a few years ago including a series of three designs done around a fantasy-cut peridot.  Here is one of those designs:

Watercolor and Gouache Peridot Pendant Rendering by Joana Miranda

Alan Rudnick, the owner, has been a fan and supporter of my work ever since we were introduced by David Liska, my mentor and former boss.    I am very grateful to both Alan and David for continuing to follow and support my jewelry career with interest!

And, speaking on the subject of gratitude, I’d also like to give kudos to two people -strangers – whose passion for what they do, as well as the desire to help others and give back to their communities, continues to inspire me.  Both have blogs that I follow with interest.  You can check them out here:

Lastly, for those of you interested in art and design, Beautiful Life online magazine is a great source of inspiration for all things creative and beautiful from jewelry and accessories to painting, photography, drawing, interior design and more.  Curious?  Take a look at these absolutely mind-boggling pencil drawings.
