A Design a Day – Day 248 (Back to Reality and Painting Kitchen Cabinets)

The hardest part for me about being on vacation is coming home and not being on vacation!  Of course, it doesn’t help that my “reentry” today involved 5 hours of cleaning and moving an entire kitchen’s worth of stuff back into the cabinets.  But for the first time in 7 years, we have kitchen cabinet doors!  I’m left wondering two things…

  1. Why didn’t we do this sooner?
  2. How am I going to find the energy now to paint all the new doors?

I did a series of sketches this week in a lovely little Gustav Klimt sketch book my mother gave me.  Here is the first of the sketches:

Until I have a better handle on juggling being back at work with painting the cabinets, I’ll probably be posting some simpler pencil sketches for my Design a Day posts.
