Tonight’s design is my take on the lotus blossom:
I’m a big believer in living in the moment, but I find doing so quite hard most of the time. So much of our lives can be taken with planning, worrying and recovering, that sometimes it feels like there is little time for anything else. I’m reminded of this quote by Emily Dickinson…
To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else.
That said, I do believe that we can only be truly at peace when we are fully absorbed in what we are doing in each moment. Many of the designs I have posted on my blog this year have come of those few moments when I’m fully focused on the task at hand, and am in a state of quiet and happy concentration. Not exactly meditation, but as close as I’ve been able to come on a regular basis.
What about you? How do you lose yourself in the moment?

Hi Nina,
Thanks for alerting me and for the call today. Yes, it was hacked and I wasted most of the day trying to get control back. Very frustrating! I’m off to change all of my passwords…
