My Favorite Things – Sunday Special; In the Backwoods of New Hampshire

This has been a good week for photography.  A quick get-away to my parent’s place in NH meant lots more opportunities for fun with my camera, and a more “naturist” bent to my outlook.

Our menu of meals included –

Home-grown cucumbers…

Tomatoes (all from my mom’s garden)…

And blueberries we picked ourselves.

While I love walking in a city, I also love the quiet of the forest –

Where some leaves are already beginning to change color…

An old swing under the trees provides a shady spot to rest…

And contemplate nature’s message!

You might see a loon…

Or two!

And with the setting of the sun…

  1. oh dear goosey pond, how it welcomes and nurtures us! And becomes more special with lovely visits of lovely daughters….
    love, MA

    • Goose Pond is certainly a magical place! And for those fortunate enough to be “charter members” at Casa do Lago, the perks include scrumptious home-cooked meals, too!

      Love, Joana

    • Thank you, Helen! I’m back in NY now, and am tanned, relaxed, refreshed and ready for more adventures. 🙂

How are you? Looking forward to the start of fall?

      Ciao –
      Joana

    • Thanks, Susan! We love being up in NH with my mom. Somehow, this time it felt even harder to come back to the city. But now that I’m back into my routine, I’m feeling like we really do have the best of both worlds.

Hope your fall is off to a great start. Happy September! 🙂 Joana
