A Winter Date – Whimsical Holiday Card Sketch by Joana Miranda

While my husband is a big fan of Josephine – my whimsical girl-about-town creation –  he recently asked if I could create a holiday card that would be more masculine or “unisex” in theme.  Being a loving wife, I came up with this sketch and showed it to him.  He said he’s intrigued, but will wait to pass final judgement until the card is fleshed out with color.  What a tough customer!

Whether it gets his final approval or not, I’m liking the direction Josephine and her companion are headed.  Hope you’ll check back soon…

    • Thanks, Ms. Helen!

I’m hoping to get to finishing both that illustration and the other sketch I posted last week soon…but I first have to play a concert with Andrea Boccelli and 5 more Nutcrackers this week. Oh, and next week I have yet another audition. Sigh.

The holidays will feel a lot brighter once I have this final audition done….

      Ciao dearie, Joana
