The Learning Curve – An Illustration Gone Awry

Ok, so this isn’t my best illustration.  The proportions of Josephine’s head to body aren’t right, and her eyes and mouth got too big.  Besides, I was going for a more playful expression than the one I ended up with.  But I’m humbly posting my illustration anyway.  For me it’s a reminder that…

“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”

(P.s. You won’t find this illustration in my Etsy shop!)

  1. It’s still pretty nice, though! I like it.

    • Thanks, Helen! That means a lot to me. Your CD arrived the day before yesterday. We’re going to listen to it soon. I like the cover art and the titles of the songs…can’t wait to hear it! Thanks so much for sending it!

We’re getting a blizzard-ette right now. It’s funny; this winter we’ve had a lot of similar weather (blizzard-ettes), but not much accumulation. I know you’ve gotten a lot more “winter” this year, and I imagine that you’re pretty sick of it by now. I hope you’ll be getting a beautiful spring this year.

By the way, I also like the photos of the necklaces you sent me, but I’ll comment on those in my reply to that email.:-)

      Ciao dearie, Joana
