My Favorite Thing – Springtime in Central Park

I was out of town (out of the country, to be precise!) when spring first arrived in New York City.  Now about a month in, the tulips have just about died off and most of the flowering trees have shed their blossoms.  But in Central Park, the air is crisp, the light is bright, and the green of the trees is still fresh.

On my walk home through the park yesterday I saw…

white flowers

yellow Anne's Lace flower

bush with fuschia flowers

yellow buttercup

delicate trumpet flowers

    • Hi Sarmistha,

Thanks so much for your nice comment! Most of the flowers were wildflowers, and some were quite small…that’s when having a good zoom on the camera is so fun.

  1. Lovely lovely photos. It will help me to take my new hardly used Lumix out of the cupboard and see what I can figure out.

    • Thanks, Andrea! The Lumix is actually very user-friendly. As soon as we can get together, I’ll “give you a tour” so that you aren’t so apprehensive about using it. 🙂

      With all best wishes, Joana
