Jo’s Journey (A Somewhat Irreverent Guide to Doing Anything Better) – Getting a Facelift

One of the first “orders of business” when starting out in business is, of course, to create an attractive business card.  In 2010, when I branched off from jewelry design into creating whimsical illustrations, I came up with this cute business card idea…

Of course, since then Josephine has come a long way and grown up quite a bit; for that reason, it seemed fitting to give the illustrations on my business card a face-lift. But since Josephine’s just as full of surprises (and whimsy) as when she first “hatched,” I decided to keep the original concept intact.  And here it is in the new incarnation…

(And if I happen to run into you, I’l be happy to give you the actual card!)

  1. So cute, and quite an evolution!

    • Thanks, Helen! It’s funny how the expression changes a bit when seen at various sizes. I had a similar version finished, but when reduced to the smaller size (business card scale), that version made Jo look old and wrinkly. And we can’t have Old and Wrinkly, now can we? (So the version I posted is actually a 2nd redone version.)

      🙂 Joana
