The view from my seat on our American Airlines flight back from Albuquerque last week…

Row 10 sketch

The flight was great for people-watching, sketching, and little else.  (Hint, hint…our experience on American Airlines left quite a lot to be desired!)

Hmm. Well I think the airlines need to do some serious thinking about customer service and their pricing policies. A good start would be to offer FREE bag checking to anyone checking a bag upon arrival at the airport, and to charge anyone gate-checking their bags $25. The number of people trying to bring large roller bags onto the plane is ridiculous and it also makes for a lot more chaos and delays in both the boarding and “off-boarding” process.

And I’m beginning to think that there should be a “girth” surcharge as well. Nothing like having a cramped seat made even smaller because the passenger next to you is overflowing into your seat.

There, I’ve vented! Now I can (try to) go back to being nice again;-)
