A very unusual Mothers Day tribute!
Thanks, Helen. Although, I’m not sure exactly what you mean by “unusual” (good, bad?). I’m assuming it’s the former. 😉

I think it’s unusual because most Mothers Day depictions I have seen show people wearing actual clothes, rather than bath towels. I think it’s cute.
My original illustration had the two little girls naked which I though looked very cute…but Andy said I might want to rethink having them naked. Cartoon porn? 😉
Anyway, I actually really like the illustration now and am looking forward to working on my next one (whenever I can find another chunk of time to sit at my drafting table!)

I love it!!!! I do get it too!!! That picture says a lot, it was just a fun day at the beach or pool and and it was just a s simple embrace, but it meant so much!
So glad you got a story from the illustration! One of the things I aim to do is to create illustrations that tell a story on their own. Glad this one came across for you.

I have gotten a story from you with all your illustrations! Keep them coming!
Will do! (That is, when I can next find the time to sit down at my drafting table.) This is the week from hell for me…sigh.
Hope you are having a nice week, though! 🙂 Joana
