Friday’s Thought – The Shades of Life (or what a foggy summer evening teaches us!)
Looking for daily nourishment for your soul? Just remember to look up (and think of this wonderful quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson!)
“We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch – we are going back from whence we came.” John F. Kennedy
“The best part of beauty is that which no picture can express.” (Francis Bacon)
“The best things in life are often waiting for you at the exit ramp of your comfort zone.”
“Miracles happen everyday, change your perception of what a miracle is and you’ll see them all around you.”
(Jon Bon Jovi)
“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be. When I let go of what I have, I receive what I need.”
(Tao Te Ching)
Yesterday afternoon I took a stroll over to the Conservatory Garden. The previous week, the tulips were only in bud stage, so I was delighted to find them at their peak this time around. The lilacs, dogwoods and wisteria all cooperated as well. Too bad my site doesn’t provide smell-o-vision because the delicate floral perfume was magical, too! Happy Spring!
Springtime in Central Park…what could be better?
“In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present.”
